Calling all educators, crafters, scientists, makers, engineers, farmers, inventors, chefs, and artists.  Volunteer at COGNITION and share your amazing talents with your community!  We have lots of different opportunities and schedules available.  Email us at info@cognitiondavie.org for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have no shortage of volunteer opportunities at COGNITION! If you are interested in volunteering in a different way, please let us know on your volunteer application.

Exhibit Interpretation

Can you “oink” and “moo” with the best of them? Is your storytelling game the stuff of legends? Then get over to COGNITION’s exhibit area and share those mad skills with visitors ages 0-10. Volunteers needed year-round.

Maker-in-Residence

Are you a maker extraordinaire that wants to share the tools of your trade with the community? Become a Maker-in-Residence at the Grady L. McClamrock Sr. Makerspace!

Special Events

Perfect for volunteers who love to jump in to help and are available evenings and weekends. Assist staff in a variety of ways, including crafts and activities, interacting with guests of all ages, serving food, and set-up/clean-up.

Education Program Assistant

Do you love science, art, and education? Assist staff in a variety of ways, including crafts and activities, interacting with guests of all ages, serving food, and set-up/clean-up.

Farm-to-Table Program Assistant

Help COGNITION connect with local farmers, chefs, and foodies to celebrate Davie County’s agricultural heritage while also delighting the palate!
